🎄❤️🎄There's something magical about crafting something from scratch, putting love and creativity into each gesture, and seeing the recipient's face light up with appreciation. Whether it's an aromatic gingerbread body scrub that leaves the skin smooth and smelling like Christmas morning or calming herbal bath bags for a spa-like experience at home, homemade gifts allow us to slow down, enjoy the moment, and appreciate the true essence of Christmas. Remember, the value of a gift lies in the thought and love put into it, not its price tag. So why not try creating something from the heart this year? 🎄❤️🎄For a full guide check out my book Homegrown Healthy Living where you’ll find a whole section jammed packed with homemade natural product recipes.
💜GINGERBREAD SCRUB RECIPE BELOW:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup almond oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1. Start by mixing the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a bowl until they are combined.
2. Melt the coconut oil and let it cool but not solidify. Then mix in the almond oil.
3. Combine the oil mixture with the sugars and stir until you get a nice, sandy texture.
4. Add in the vanilla extract.
5. Mix in the spices - cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ground ginger. Make sure they are evenly distributed throughout the scrub.
6. Once everything is mixed, store your gingerbread body scrub in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
To use, simply scoop out a small amount in your hand, scrub it on your body, and rinse. Your skin will feel soft, moisturized, and it will smell like a delicious gingerbread cookie!
Note: Always do a patch test before first use to test for any negative reaction and avoid the face and sensitive areas.
